Jim started Mr. Music in 1994, after three years with his buddy running a DJ service named J&S Sound. After buying out his partner and changing the name, he ran the operation by himself until late 1999. During that time, he attended the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts and obtained a degree in Radio Broadcasting. A short time later, he worked as a morning disc jockey for WCSM radio in Celina, Ohio, Monday through Saturday. Because he wanted to pursue a varsity boys basketball coaching position in Michigan, he left the station. He later went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree at Siena Heights University in Communication and currently teaches English at Whiteford High School in Ottawa Lake, MI. In his years as owner of the business, he’s performed at hundreds of events for thousands of people. His goal has been and continues to be to impress all of his clients with professionalism and the ability to really listen to what customers want in their DJ.
