INTRODUCTION

Our Business Model

We freely admit we borrowed our business model for the Photo Booth directly from our DJ Service. We stress planning as a major part of making the photo booth part of our business a success. Our photobooth technician will help you make planning very easy, though we offer many options. We also make it look cool and offer the customer a lot of fun options for you and your guests. Our customers have always motivated us to provide a kick-awesome-fantastic experience; the photobooth adds another dimension to the entertainment we offer.

HOW IT WORKS

Relationship to DJ Service

Clients sometimes ask us if they must book our DJ Service in order to book our photobooth service? No, they’re separate contracts and services offered by Mr. Music DJ Service, L.L.C. You can hire us for DJ, Photobooth, or both. The Photobooth is not an “add-on” option, though you will typically enjoy discounts by booking both services.  

Why Spend Money on a Photo booth for Your Party?

Photo booths allow clients to capture pictures of their guests that a professional photographer might not catch.

 It brings instant wedding favors to guests with digital uploads and/or printed copies.

Photo booths provide non-stop entertainment for all ages! Your guests can let loose and create amazing memories all night long, capturing memories created specifically by the availability of a photo booth.

Setup & Dimensions

We use an open-air photo booth set-up, much less restrictive than an enclosed space because people will enjoy more room to move around, adjust poses, and include more people in the picture(s). We suspend the backdrop from tripods and setup three LED photo/video lights around a Canon DSLR HD camera. To allow you and your guests to see the picture before it is taken, they can view it on a 32” TV monitor. The photo booth technician runs a cable from the camera to a computer, then to the TV. In total, we need a space 8-10 feet long by 6-10 feet wide. See diagram.

Software and Publishing

We use the professional version of dslrBooth software. It allows us to offer customers many cool and personalized options. In a venue/location with a good WiFi signal, we can instantly post photo booth pictures on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Guests also have the option to receive their pictures by text and email. If the venue does not have WIFI access, we can still send text, emails and post all pictures to social media by the next day. The pictures also automatically save to an online archive that will stay available for 90 days after the event. We will make that link available on our Twitter page, which customers will find printed on our business cards distributed by the photo booth technician. At the end of the night, the customer will receive a USB flash drive with all the pictures taken.

Props

We offer a wide array of props for you and your guests to help them cheese it up for pictures. From hats and boas, to celebration signs and face photo sticks. When planning with the technician, you will decide on the sets you would like to use for your event. The number of sets picked depends on the chosen photo booth package. Feel free to use your own props as well. We will separate your props from ours at the end of the event. Finally, our software allows us to insert DIGITAL PROPS into the photos, even if the pictured subjects didn’t actually have a prop.

Picture Format

Our Photo Booth software allows us to provide a fun variety of templates from which customers may choose. The software will count down each time, and then take one, two, three or even four pictures in a series with a countdown between each one, allowing you and your guests plenty of time to smile, pose, frown, act cool, or anything they’d like. Regardless of format, you will see the individual picture AND the template picture series in the files we post and/or give you on a flash drive.

Privacy

If you don’t want us to post any pictures on social media of you and your guests to keep the pictures private, simply tell us that during planning. We can keep the email and text options available and only post the pictures for your guests on our host cloud space, and no social media. Plus, remember all customers receive a flash drive with pictures at the end of the night.

Backdrop

You have unlimited options for a backdrop. We mean, totally UNLIMITED. First, dslrBooth software allows us to use a green screen and impose any background that tickles your fancy. You can choose from our collection, tell us what kinds of backgrounds you want us to make available, or choose your own, though we advise customers to use only high definition backgrounds. We cannot use copyrighted backgrounds either for obvious legal reasons. Second, if you are creative and want to design your own backdrop, you can! We have other static backdrops you can choose too. If the event takes place outdoors, and you think we can use natural surroundings as a backdrop, that’s possible too.

Planning

Customers that wish to hire us don’t have to have all the options picked out ahead of time. You can sign a contract and hire us for the date for a basic package and upgrade or make  necessary decisions later if needed. We give customers a photo booth planning guide that they will have plenty of time to peruse. Plus, your photo booth technician can advise you along the way. Have questions? Just ask.

Photobook

Customers have the option to add-on a guestbook to their photo booth package. Throughout the event we will place a copy of all the pictures taken within the book. There are two different size guestbooks, the basic and deluxe. The basic is a standard size photobook with sleeves and the deluxe is a larger version that allows guests to write messages.

Video Messages

Our dslrBooth software also allows your guests to leave you 30-second video messages. If you want that as an option for your guest, we won’t charge extra, but will recommend that you set aside blocks of time to do that separately from picture time, as it requires a bit of a different setup than the photo booth.
